A steel collar or butt—welded flange is a type of connecting element in the form of a disk with holes for fastening and a cone-shaped part protruding forward, outwardly similar to a collar or neck. It is this "collar" that is welded to the pipe or equipment (the diameter of the "neck" and the pipe at the same time coincides) so that the node can withstand the parameters recommended for this type of flanges.
